This specialist CPD course is designed for qualified reflexologists who wish to develop a deeper understanding of childhood anxiety disorders and learn how reflexology can be used as a complementary therapy to support children and their families.

Led by Judy Buckley, an Advanced Reflexologist and council member of the National Register of Reflexologists, this course combines clinical knowledge with practical reflexology techniques developed through years of experience working with children in schools and private practice.

Throughout the course, you will explore the causes, signs, and symptoms of common anxiety disorders in children and gain practical skills to adapt reflexology treatments to meet each child's individual needs. The course also discusses creating a calm, supportive treatment environment and working within professional boundaries.

Separation Anxiety Disorder – Understanding excessive fear or distress when separated from parents, caregivers, or attachment figures.

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – Recognising persistent and excessive worry about everyday life, school, and social situations.

Panic Disorder – Understanding panic attacks, their physical symptoms, and how they affect children.

Specific Phobias – Identifying intense fears, avoidance behaviours, and their impact on daily life.

Recognising the signs and symptoms of childhood anxiety.

Practical reflexology techniques to encourage relaxation and emotional wellbeing.

Adapting treatments for children in a safe and supportive way.

Working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals where appropriate.
